Zeng Guoqing 曾國慶
Zeng Guoqing was born in Hunan Province in 1984. He graduated from the Printmaking Department, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2007. He later joined 102 Art Base, Chongqing and currently lives in Chongqing.
His black and white aesthetic, created in ink and paper, harnesses the carnival atmosphere of Dutch Renaissance artist Pieter Bruegel the Elder. He presents detailed microcosms of humanity in group and individual forms, marrying flashes of humour with passion and pathos.
Zeng Guoqing’s exhibitions include Grove Lounge - Zeng Guoqing Solo Exhibition at Ora-Ora, and New Ink: An Exhibition of Ink Art by post 1970 artists from The YiQingZhai Collection at Sotheby’s Hong Kong. He has also exhibited at fairs including Fine Art Asia, Hong Kong (2012) and the 2011 Taipei International Art Exposition.
