Devotion to Ink Contemporary Ink Show
With over one thousand years of history, ink art has evolved from traditional ink to create a contemporary aesthetic standard and visual experience. In harmony with Art Basel Hong Kong, being a catalyst for Hong Kong's art development, Ora-Ora is most excited to present an unprecedented contemporary ink exhibition, titled Devotion of Ink, at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum. With the support of prominent art advisor and Chinese contemporary artist Xu Lei, along with the direction from the curator of Shanghai Art Museum Lu Huan, Devotion of Ink features the latest works of sixteen highly talented Chinese ink artists. As a major supporter of emerging talent and the pursuit of shui mo (“water-ink”) since the very beginning, Ora-Ora wants to use this opportunity to educate and expand the horizons of art lovers and collectors to better understand and appreciate this thriving ink phenomenon.
Devotion of Ink will feature works by Gao Qian, Hang Chunhui, Hao Liang, Huang Dan, Liu Qi, Ma Jun, Ni Youyu, Peng Jian, Peng Wei, Pan Wenxun, Qin Xiuping, Xiao Xu, Xu Hualing, Zeng Guoqing and Zhang Yanzi.
