Ten Miles Away - Peng Jian Solo Exhibition

Chinese artist Peng Jian unleashes the angular visual vibrancy of books. Vivid blues, bold greens and searing yellows permeate defamiliarized, immobile, cubic juxtapositions.

Coinciding with this year’s Art Basel Hong Kong, Galerie Ora-Ora is excited to present a solo show by the Hangzhou-based artist, at Liang Yi Museum. Collected by the Today Art Museum and Liu Haisu Art Museum, Peng recasts books in disconcerting perspectives, confronting the viewer with unfamiliar objects in blazing, vibrant hues, piled in cubes and stacks, edges and lines.
