Screaming Books
Galerie Ora-Ora’s opening show asserts the universality of art, and its role as a standard bearer for unbarriered, unfettered expression and understanding. Where words belong to language silos, imbued with tones and subtleties which are inscrutable to the uninitiated, art proudly revels in its own implicit accessibility and immediacy. Art is borderless and instinctive. There is no equivalent of “illiteracy” when reading art.
The show gathers leading artists for whom literature is an inspiration. Ultimately, separating art and literature may prove impossible. Our artists assert the power of art by running towards the physical weight of books and their projected illusions; art and literature are not opposing forces, but souls divided, screaming for each other in the night.
