A Quest for Wellness
A Quest for Wellness, the second of Zhang Yanzi's Quest solo exhibitions in the UK, opens on May 5 at the Museum of East Asian Art (MEAA) in Bath, England. The museum is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and this exhibition investigates the artist's work in the light of Bath's historic purpose as a centre of wellbeing and recovery since Roman times.
The MEAA is the UK's only dedicated museum to East Asian art. Zhang Yanzi's exhibition will mark the first showing of her groundbreaking work Excess, a colourful coat of pills reminiscent of Biblical Joseph, Gustav Klimt and Xian's terracotta warriors.
