Yi Yi Jeong-eun

Yi Yi Jeong-eun (이이정은) was born in Suwon, South Korea in 1977. In 2002, she received the special award in the 6^th Nahyeseok Fine Art Competition for Female Artists. She received her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Seoul National University in 2005, and her master’s from the same institution in 2009.

Believing in the importance of external stimulus and influence to internal ideas, she has completed several artist residences throughout her career, including Jang Heung Atelier, Yang Ju (2008-2012), Gana Busan Atelier, Busan (2008), Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris (2011) and Ujong Creation Studio in Seoul (2013).
